Keeping Your Senior Dogs Brain Health

There has been no supplement more important for Legend over the years than this one. We can’t state enough how important a healthy brain is for an aging dog. Why? Dogs can have cognitive decline just like people do. It not only affects their personality but a healthy brain improves their coordination and mobility. Older dogs can suffer from Sundowner’s which affects their sleep/wake cycle. They can also get anxiety and confusion especially if they have declining hearing and eyesight.

You can help keep your senior dog agile and alert with Ask Ariel's all-natural Dog Brain Booster. We have personally benefited from this wonderful supplement and there are a lot of senior dog testimonials posted on our website. Dog Brain Booster contains research-based beneficial brain nutrients such as Phosphatidyl Serine and Acetyl-L-Carnitine to enhance memory and brain power. Many pet owners report their dogs have more energy, muscle control and an overall improvement in dementia symptoms.
Dogs don't have to have dementia to benefit. If you have a senior dog, give them the brain nutrition they need with Dog Brain Booster.

Benefits Of A Raw Food Diet

Raw frozen pet food is the gold standard in pet nutrition as it contains real meat, vegetables and omega 3s. Raw frozen diets are especially helpful for pets with allergies, digestive problems and chronic infections. Raw freeze-dried diets are a great option for treats and for pets that don’t like raw frozen. Feeding your pet a raw diet doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Try mixing a small patty or raw freeze-dried pieces into your pet’s regular diet. Since raw food is more expensive due to the higher meat and vegetable content, many pet owners incorporate these diets with canned food and homemade vegetables. We hope you can consider adding raw food to your pet's diet for superior nutrition and health benefits.

Do You Know What Yunnan Baiyo Is?

This miracle product is called Yunnan Baiyo but it should be called Yunnan Bow WOW! We are filled with gratitude to our amazing veterinarian Dr. David Gordon @archbeachvet and this miracle remedy. On Monday morning Legend sneezed and blood was everywhere—all over his paws, face and blanket. He has been anemic and his gums were already a little pale. Arch Beach is a very busy practice but Dr. Gordon’s team was waiting for us with open arms. We were concerned the blood was coming from Legend’s lungs as his CT Scan showed his liver tumor had metastasized. To our shock and glee, his lungs were ok.

We truly believe that is where all the holistic care helped him. But how to stop the bleeding? Enter Yunnan Baiyo! Over the past few days, Legend has gained strength (see yesterday’s video) and today no more bleeding.

If you know a pet owner whose dog has Hemangiosarcoma, nasal tumors or other bleeding tumors, this remedy can be a Godsend. It is also helpful for bleeding due to a trauma or injury. We are so thankful that Dr. Gordon had it and wanted to increase awareness as Yunnan Baiyo may provide life-saving help for a dog with a bleeding emergency.

Are You Traveling With Your Pet?

Are you making plans to travel over Spring Break? Consider including your pets on the trip. Finding pet-friendly lodging has become easier with short-term rentals (airbnb, vrbo, etc.) and many hotel chains offering more and more pet friendly options. You can also research websites, like bringfido.com or blogs like gopetfriendly.com, which have resources to help you prepare for the trip and to plan fun activities once you arrive.

When on the road, make sure to keep water and treats easily accessible. Pets need frequent potty stops and keeping the window cracked can help with car sickness. Be sure to take your pet's current vaccination records with you. It's a good idea to have them in case of an emergency vet visit or if you are planning to leave your pet temporarily at a playgroup facility. Happy travels!

Spring Is Here

This week was the beginning of spring! With Spring, comes the PROMISE of blue skies and sunshine (ha ha some of us are still waiting!). Spring brings warmer weather and longer days. Your pets may show subtle behavior changes, such as spending more time sunbathing, waking up earlier and having extra energy. Springtime can also mean a pickup of allergy symptoms due to the increased pollen in the air from flowers, trees and grasses. Both cats and dogs can have environmental allergies. Pets not only breathe in the pollen but they also come in direct contact by rolling in the grass or lounging in the yard. Allergies can cause pets to scratch, lick, itch and tear their fur out. Our holistic care articles about allergies provide tips on how you can help relieve these uncomfortable symptoms naturally. To learn more, click here to visit AskAriel.com.

Thankful For Every Moment With Legend

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Legend. As of this week, it is 1 1/2 years that we have been fighting liver cancer and 6 months since the second massive hepatocellular tumor returned. We have tried twice to surgically remove the tumor and tried every possible treatment imaginable. We had been in contact with UC Davis about a new cancer procedure but due to Legend’s age (he is 14 1/2) and cancer metastasis he doesn’t qualify Still the regular vet visits, holistic treatments and nutritional supplements are helping. We have good days and hard days. We cry a lot and we feel incredible joy when something wonderful happens (he suddenly jumped on the couch!). Anyone who has loved an animal knows the pain of seeing them grow old and sick. For right now, Legend is holding his own. He is still going on two walks a day (albeit very slowly and short), engages with us, and has an amazing will to live. Recently a neighbor (who isn’t a dog owner) approached us and told us he was praying for Legend every day because he was so inspired by this elderly dog putting one foot in front of the other with such fortitude, despite all of his health issues. If you have an elderly or sick pet, taking them outside even just for five minutes can make their whole day. We thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you have shown our beloved dog. We hope you can give your pets an extra hug today. Life is so short and our time with our pets is never long enough.

What Helped Pete?

I just wanted to thank you guys for your great service and great product. Our Vet was telling us that we were looking at a very expensive surgery and a full tooth extraction for my cat Pete and that they didn’t know what was causing his stomatitis and it was the only thing they could do to fix it. The antibiotics they gave us weren’t working. Not only did you get me your product immediately, my cat seems to have made a full recovery in 2 weeks. The Vet didn’t tell us Stomatitis was an autoimmune disease, diet related or anything else. You and your website told me that and I believe it was your products (Immune Support Kit, Immune Harmony and Happy Paws drops) and knowledge of a diet change that made the entire difference. My family can not thank you guys enough! Pete seems to be back to his normal self and we are just so thankful!  Ryan, NJ.
