Why Pets Act Naughty Over The Holidays

Sometimes pets can “act out” at the worst possible times. It can be so frustrating when you are having company, only to find out that Fido had an accident on the carpet or got into the trash and made a big mess. Pets feel the stress of the holidays just like we do. They are creatures of habit and like their regular routine to feel balanced. New people in the house, being left alone, different sounds and movements can give them anxiety! Whatever way possible, do all you can to keep your pet’s feeding schedule and exercise routine as close to normal as you can. A routine helps pets feel safe and reduces the likelihood of destructive behavior during this busy time.

Summer Travel Alert

Stress-Busting Tips For Cats

The official summer travel season begins soon and not everyone will be excited about your upcoming vacation. Many pets do not like changes to their daily routine. This can be especially true of cats. Some cats are more amenable to traveling than others. Taking a kitty out of their designated territory can produce a great deal of stress. Building up travel trips gradually can help.  Be sure to bring along a few of your cat's favorite items.  Cats produce pheromones which are transferred to their things by rubbing their face. Smelling these familiar pheromones will help to destress and calm your cat making it a more enjoyable trip for all. Your cat can also benefit from the calming effect of Happy Paws and PSY-stabil.
