How Can Green Tea Help Your Pet?

Green Tea Extract (Camellia sinensis) has immunoregulatory and anti-inflammatory properties.  Green tea continues to be researched for effectiveness in cancer prevention and treatment.  Green tea contains catechins--anti-oxidants that are being studied for their anti-tumor, anti-cancer effect.  The most potent catechin found in green tea is called EGCG.  An animal study in March 2015 (J Cancer Prev) shows that the EGCG in green tea extract inhibits tumor growth and may help to reduce the number of tumors.  Green tea catechins appear to target and inhibit cancer stem cells.  Ask Ariel's OncoPet contains decaffeinated green tea extract, along with medicinal mushrooms, to support dogs with cancer.  OncoPet also provides excellent immune support for senior dog breeds that have a higher incidence of cancer such as boxers.
