Both cats and
dogs are creatures of habit and without a routine they can develop behavior
problems that can be hard to correct. For example, some pet owners have adult dogs that still have "accidents" in the house because the pet wasn't let out routinely and/or was allowed to get away with it "just this one time". Establishing a set routine for eating,
activities, sleeping and bathroom breaks can be a key step in having a
well-behaved pet. A schedule and consistent rules can teach your pet what to expect and by whom; creating a
sense of safety and security.
