Sophie the Therapy Dog Helps Bring Cheer!

Sophie the therapy dog has brought so much cheer to the people she helps take care of. Jack was sent home on Hospice and had very little time. Sophie spent a great deal of time with him while he was sick and the last few hours with him. He loved her as she did him. The only couch that Sophie has ever been allowed to jump on was his as he wasn't able to reach down. Besides his immediate family, Sophie was the only one allowed in the room. His family was thrilled because no one could make him smile like her. He said that Sophie made him forget about what was wrong.

The last picture ever taken of Jack was this one with Sophie. I just wanted you to know what Sophie does with a great part of her life. If Sophie continued to have Urinary Tract Infections so early on, I am not sure if she would have become a therapy dog. Thanks again for being such a big part in helping Sophie to overcome her Urinary Tract Infections and allowing that to happen!

Close Encounter with A Rattlesnake

Spring is here! Today, we were taking a beautiful walk on a well traveled path that leads to the beach. We had our two dogs Legend and Bleu with us who were pulling of course (they are huskies). This was a good lesson for anyone considering letting your dogs running loose in open areas---you just never know what you might run into. This was actually not even a wilderness area but the path is paved so that you are walking through lots of bushes, shrubs and original California landscape.

Right before us was a huge rattlesnake who was coiled. The dogs were 3 feet away and thankfully my husband saw it first. We slowly pulled the dogs back and retreated. The rattlesnake slithered off.....Please be careful on your hikes and keep a close eye on your pets. This was the last place we would have ever expected to see a snake.

Pet Probiotic Helps With Puppy's Gas and Indigestion

"Dexter"

“I want to thank you for the Power Probiotic. This product is amazing! Dexter (my black 6-month old Toy Poodle) slept awesome last night! Better than he has in weeks! I forgot to give him his usual Probiotic pill at 10pm last night. Well, he got up and walked around a little at 2:45am and seemed a little uncomfortable, so I got up and gave him a 1/2 capsule of Power Probiotic and we went back to bed and I didn't hear a peep out of him until 7:00am. No stomach gurgling, no burping, no nasal congestion, no incessant scratching, no more pacing the floor...Yay!!! This was the 4th night of Power Probiotic, so I really think they are helping. Thank you so much for creating this product and for really caring about our babies!!”

Gardening with your dog or cat is fun

Gardening is great fun for you and your pets. I have never been much of a gardnerer but recently started growing some heirloom tomatoes, beets, etc. It's very relaxing and is good for the whole family to get outside. Season is early but we already grew one tomato, a beet (pictured) and some broccoli. My huskies Bleu and Legend love to watch us in the garden and soak up the sunshine! Legend looks oh so cuddly above but he is quite a mischievious creature. We kept noticing that there were nibbles on our squash and pumpkin plants. It was very odd and we thought that rabbits or bugs were eating the leaves off. We even found some where a few pieces of the leaves were left. Sure enough, I caught my mischievous doggie chomping on the squash plants. Thank goodness he doesn't like the strawberry leaves and tomato plants. He is just having fun pretending he is a billy goat instead of a dog!
