Help For Your Senior Cat With Kidney Disease

Do you have an older kitty? Did you know that kidney disease is a common condition that affects many senior cats? Most cats over 15 years of age will have some renal insufficiency. Signs can be subtle such as being more finicky with their food, especially in the morning. Cats may vomit more or start to lose weight. A routine senior blood panel and physical exam is the best way to know. If your cat does have kidney disease, finding out early can improve their prognosis. Ask Ariel's Kidney Health is an all-natural, proteolytic enzyme supplement that breaks down protein and assists the kidneys to eliminate metabolic waste. This tasteless, easy-to-use powder reduces the workload on the kidneys and can be mixed into food. It can be used with any senior cat to help maintain healthy kidney function.

Easy Kidney Supplement for Cats

Toby

“Toby is a Persian cat 15 years old. Last year he was diagnosed with Kidney disease along with a UTI. Toby was fed, what we thought was a healthy diet. Toby would not eat the food and was getting weaker every day, he couldn't defecate and he wasn't urinating. You could see and feel every bone in his body, his eyes were glazed over and his coat was dull. Toby would sit and stare at the wall--he had given up. We made an appointment to speak to Susan Davis. She gave us all the information we needed to save Toby's life. Toby now eats a healthy diet and takes a few supplements such as Kidney Terrain, Kidney Health and Power Probiotic. The products all are easy to give and even a fussy cat will eat them.
Toby is a changed cat. He is healthier than he has ever been in his entire life! He has gained weight, has a beautiful coat, bright eyes, plays like a kitten, purrs constantly and loves his food. We are only sorry that we didn't know about Ask Ariel before. Susan has given Toby a new lease on life and he loves it!”

One of the most common diseases, as cats age,  is kidney disease.  Kidney disease may be hard to detect in the early stages, but some of the symptoms you may notice are increase urination, increased thirst, weight loss, vomiting, and discomfort in their back.  Early intervention can be the key to your pet maintain a high quality of life, while battling kidney disease.  A kidney-friendly diet, and supplements that help the kidney function (and remove toxins) can help a great deal, but pet owners might find it difficult to give supplements to finicky kitties.   Fortunately,  Kidney Health,  is a product that contains a very palatable powder that just mixes into your cat's food.  The enzyme, in Kidney Health, helps to break down protein, enhancing digestion and reducing the workload on the kidneys.  We highly recommend the product as it seems to improve kidney values and symptoms and is an easy supplement to administer for CRF.

Finicky Cats May Have Acid Stomach

"Many cats are a little bit finicky about the textures and smells with their food. If your cat is finicky, one way to keep up their interest is to use alternating flavors, textures and forms of food. Be sure to avoid grains such as wheat, rice, corn and other fillers.  Cats are carnivores and need a high protein diet.   Use different flavors such as lamb, venison and rabbit---sticking with just fish or poultry can lead to food allergies.  Use canned and raw frozen food for best results.

If your kitty is acting extra finicky, be sure to take her to the veterinarian. Finicky eating, accompanied by weight loss in older cats can be a sign of kidney disease.  Kidney disease is very common in senior cats and to help slow the progression of the disease and the picky eating, use Power Probiotic, Gastro ULC and Kidney Terrain Power Probiotic repopulates friendly intestinal flora which supports kidney health and improves digestion.  Gastro ULC contains soothing nutrients to coat the stomach and ease pain which can increase a kitty's appetite.  Kidney Terrain provides nourishment for the kidneys, is easy to use and is good as a preventative for senior cats even if kidney function is still normal.
