Diet For Dogs and Cats With Bladder Infections

Is your pet getting frequent UTIs? Symptoms of a urinary tract or bladder infection include: frequent urination, urinating outside the litter box, blood in the urine, excessive water intake, licking at the genitals and accidents in the house.  UTIs are painful and can often be prevented with a change of diet and a few supplements. Pets with recurring UTIs need a high moisture, low carbohydrate diet using a novel protein. Raw frozen diets are very helpful. Dry kibble is high in carbohydrates and food allergens such as poultry can weaken immunity--making your pet more susceptible to getting another infection.
